School Improvement Priorities

The main school improvement priorities for 2025- 26 are as follows:

  1. To advance and refine effective assessment of writing to impact on improved writing outcomes across whole school and to further develop the teaching of transcription skills, including spelling and handwriting.

  2. To embed the arts to enrich the curriculum and raise standards and opportunities across foundation and all subjects. (This will include but not be limited to the school engaging in Arts Council funding (£100,000+) and through the use of a drama specialist).

  3. To enhance the support of mental health and wellbeing of all children, ensuring barriers to learning are removed (inclusion) so that every pupil can engage fully and achieve their potential (due to evidence within the SEND register of this being a key area). This will support the promotion of positive engagement in learning and foster respectful, supportive relationships between pupils and adults across the school community.
