Primrose Court
We are continuing to develop positive links with Primrose Court (retirement housing), the original site of Hayfield Primary School.
Year 4 enjoy a visit to Primrose Court in December to sing some Christmas Carols. Ed Simpson, one of our peripatetic teachers, accompanies them on piano. The children are always amazing and really rise to the occasion with their best singing voices and smiles! Our friends at Primrose Court enjoy it so much that it even brings a tear to one or two people’s eyes (in a good way!!!). Lots of old and happy memories are brought back!
In previous years, the children were very impressed, when after their singing they were treated to chocolates and a drink. New friendships have been made and conversations flowed.
We are always made to feel so welcome and are keen to return the favour by inviting our friends at Primrose Court to Hayfield School for an afternoon Beetle Drive with tea and cake. Please see below a lovely letter from some of the residents after their visit.
