NEWSLETTER—ISSUE 12 – 5
th
DECEMBER 2014
Hello Everyone
This newsleƩer will take some reading and digesƟng, I’m sure. Make sure you have a pen in
your hand and your diary because there is so much on in school and in and around Hayfield
that you are bound to missing something exciƟng and Christmassy if you don’t get these dates
down now!
I’m looking forward to seeing our RecepƟon Play this aŌernoon and KS1’s producƟon next
week. The Carol Service is going to be wonderful and so is the bigger-and-beƩer-than-ever
PTA Christmas Fayre next Friday. BUT...it will only be successful if the few people who have
done a huge amount of work to prepare for this extravaganza get lots of support. Firstly, they
need more help. All teachers are helping out; please lets have a few more parents helping
too. Secondly, we need everyone to come! This isn’t just to raise money (although funds are
desperately needed); it is also to meet up with friends and neighbours, visit Santa, have tea,
buy some Christmas goodies and generally have a jolly good Ɵme! See you there!
Flu Shots for Toddlers—4 Year Olds
Have your under 5s received their fly vaccine yet? It is a single dose nasal spray, quick and
painless and will mean that your child is less likely to become ill if they come into contact with
the flu virus , which can be parƟcularly unpleasant for children and can result in nasty illnesses
such as bronchiƟs and pneumonia and ear infecƟons.
Pop along to your GP to find out more.
Calling all Bakers
We need cakes for the refreshment service on Friday - if you really cannot
help at the Fayre, can you please bake/buy a cake?
All offers of help can be pledged with Emma Parkinson, in person, by text on
07941 233 101 or email
hayfieldschoolpta@gmail.com. Thank you.
