Hello Everyone The end of the year has come around so quickly. As we look forward to a much-needed and well-earned rest, it’s good to reflect on the year and what we have achieved, and what we want to do better next year. I shall be working on this over the summer and will return with renewed vigour and enthusiasm for working with the staff, governors, parents and PEGS to make 2016-17 a very happy and successful year for the children in Hayfield. More about this in September! Today we say goodbye and good luck to the children in Year 6. This will be a particularly poignant farewell for me as this is the first class I have seen progress from Reception to Year 6—it’s the same for Mrs Horne; this was her first Reception class! It has been fantastic to see every child develop, mature and achieve, especially this year in Year 6, showing that they have grown into confident, happy and well-rounded individuals, ready for the next stage of their learning journey. They have come such a long way! Good luck, all you lovely children. You have been fantastic, and we will miss you all....more
